Dreamplay Manila, Philippines

Dreamworks’ first indoor interactive themed play area was built in the City of Dreams, Manila. Themebuilders collaborated with Melco Crown Entertainment and iP2Entertainment to produce the decorations based on Dreamworks’ extensive library of works – including Kung Fu Panda, Madagascar, Shrek, and How to Train your Dragon.

Combining cartoons with realistic details is one of Themebuilders’ specialization. Under close direction from Dreamworks, Themebuilders sculpted and built the theming for Dreamplay from the characters featured in the main entrance to the full‐size plane and Baobab tree in the Madagascar area to the castle facade for Gingy’s kitchen.

The creation of this key project showed Themebuilders’ experience and artistic craftsmanship in producing high‐quality and detailed character statues, scenic decorations, facades and props.

Polyte: For most areas we used Polyte – our fire resistant and innovative material for themed architecture facades. As it is has considered lightweight compared to other material and can be removed within a short time from its mold, does not shrink neither expand – Polyte is ideal for indoor themed facades like in Dreamplay.
